Devlog #2 Inventory System

I'm back! I've been putting off making a devlog for a long time, but progress has been made. Inventory systems are really hard, more advanced stuff for me. I've used chatGPT and some videos online to make a simple inventory. The inventory wont be much, just a simple place to store ingredients for brewing. I've learned alot of GameMaker coding, things like arrays, structs, vars. The inventory still isn't perfect though, items dont save when traveling between rooms.

Whats the game about?

For "A Tavern at Tulia" you work as a bartender, serving drinks, talking to customers. Explore the city of Tulia, buy ingredients, fix your tavern, and talk to the locals. Its not all that easy however, as the looming threat of war could cause trouble for your business...

Whats done so far

-Time system & GUI

-Tavern Rooms

-Basic Inventory system (bit better)

-Items

Whats to come

- Full fledged inventory system

-Crafting

-Customers

-Better sprite designs

-Main Menu and saves

Lore

For a story game, lore is important!

A Tavern at Tulia takes place during the "War of the Desert", which takes place on the planet Taf, in the near future. While the war takes place in the faraway lands of the Dunic Desert, its effects can be felt right at home. Tulia is a coastal city in the country of Tuhland. I'll put a map of the region in images.

Disclaimer

Being an Indie Developer, I am not that experienced in making games, and with school(summer is soon!), I don't have much time to code and design. However, I am very passionate about this project, and will update once I get more core features done!
