Devlog #8 First Public Prototype
A Tavern at Tulia is now downloadable!
It has been around 7 months since the start of this project, and ATT is now in a playable state. The download is on the page(windows only for now, I'm not sure if other OSs will work). The game isn't perfect, but it does work.
How to play
As of now there is no tutorial ingame, so I'll explain here. On start you'll be presented with a save screen. There will be five files that you can select(indicated by the black text). After selecting you can load/delete the selected save(slot 1 has some savedata so delete that on start)
After loading you'll be presented with the tavern. You can buy alcohols and cups from the "shop"(player sprite next to bar), and fill up the taps(center back bar) with alcohol. To make a drink you click the tap with an empty cup.
Customers come in during the evening(4-10pm), so to skip time press I. Before that, you NEED to set your alcohol menu(the game WILL crash if you don't). The first blackboard is your alcohol menu, click on it, and click one of the lines. Currently the only brands in game are "Red Velvet Emperor" and "Gray Saturday"(brands are shown below the name on the tooltip, they are always colored). After 4, customers will enter the tavern. Click to open dialogue, and press 1 to talk, and 2 to serve. Customers will have a brand they want on entry, to find out you talk to them, one of the dialogue lines tells it. If you get it correct you gain 10c, incorrect you lose 5c.
Currently at 12am time stops, and in order to go to the next day you must sleep. Enter the storage room(entrance is behind the bar) and click on the bed. You'll get a end of day sequence, and your game will be saved.
Known Bugs
As mentioned before, not setting your alcohol menu before customer spawning leads to a crash.
On rejoin drinks will have their liquid invisible
Changes from last devlog
Currently syrups(flavors) are not fully fleshed out, may be changed
Ingredients have been removed entirely to focus on drinks themselves
Crafting has also been removed
Added taps, similar to how syrups worked but with Alcohol instead
Menus have been added
Currency is now named Crowns(c)
Added 4 new drinks, removed 1, and 1 new brand
Added shop for buying alcs and cups
Added cups
Removed Drinkrack, plan to readd it as Cup rack
